Traveling Saint Peter
Summer 2024
Going away at all this summer? Primarily livestream due to distance? Parishioners of all ages are invited to partake in Traveling Saint Peter — our very own spinoff of "Flat Stanley". Let's see how many places we can send him together as a parish this summer!
It's fun, adventurous and easy:
Take a "Flat Saint Peter" to decorate and bring with you to churches you visit while away this summer, near or far.
Take a photo of (or with!) Flat Saint Peter at the church you visited.
Send your photo to communications@saint-peter.org along with a little blurb about where you visited.
We'll share these with the parish community throughout the summer on our bulletin board, bulletin, a website gallery, and social media.
Submit these all summer long for as many different churches as you can visit while away! This could even make a great local daytrip idea — couple visiting a church for their daily Mass with exploring its surrounding area (a park, museum, restaurant, downtown area, etc.) Here’s a great starting point for finding a church and its Mass times.
To kick this off, join us at Community Sunday after the 10am Mass on June 9th to decorate your Flat Saint Peter! Printouts also will be available at the Welcome Desk over summer or via the PDF below.
