Lenten Parish Mission: School of Prayer - Highlights & Gallery
On March 30th - April 1, 2025, St. Peter’s held a three-night Lenten parish mission called “School of Prayer.” It was crafted by staff members Jim Gregory (Director of Music Ministry), Allison Oblen (Director of Faith Formation), Chris Black (Pastoral Associate for Adult Faith Formation), Marissa Dabakian (Director of Stewardship & Development) and Hannah Schmitz (Notre Dame ECHO Apprentice), who all led parishioners and visitors through learning and practicing various forms of prayer. Over 130 people attended the first night which was focused on prayer through music and meditative Ignatian prayer, the second night focused on Lectio Divina and involved small groups, and the third night focused on the Prayer of Contrition, concluding with Reconciliation and Eucharistic Adoration. We appreciate the effort staff and volunteers put into creating this important spiritual event — from speakers, to musicians, to ushers, to group facilitators to photographers! And many kudos to all who committed to experiencing the mission this Lent.
