Hello 2025, Goodbye Collection Baskets

Happy New Year! We look back at 2024 with gratitude for many blessings including the time, talent and treasure given by each of you to make our church possible. As we look forward in the new year, we wanted to inform you on one change you’ll notice and an opportunity to revisit how you might support our parish financially.

Beginning the weekend of January 4th/5th, collection baskets no longer are coming around during Masses. We invite you to support St. Peter’s with a weekly offering through any of these options:

  • Faith Direct: Join the half of our parishioners already giving weekly offerings in the most convenient, streamlined, cost-effective, environmentally-friendly way. Through Faith Direct you can make all of your contributions to St. Peter’s via automatic payment from your checking account or credit card just as you may do now with your mortgage, household bills, and other monthly payments. Simply access the sign-up link and follow the steps to securely specify your gifts, payment preferences and account information, all of which can be changed at any time.

  • Offering Boxes: If you prefer to still give by cash, check or envelope, they can be dropped in the offering boxes now available at the front entrance of the church and the elevator entrance.

  • Venmo: Alternative to cash, a QR code to our St. Peter’s Venmo for digital giving can be scanned on the offering boxes, in the bulletin, and on our welcome cards in the pews.

Your weekly offerings are what keep our spiritual home running — our liturgies, ministries, and everyday needs. Thank you for your great generosity, and for your adaptability in how we continue to evolve our parish.
