Food Drive (September 19/20)
A Center for Food Action Food Drive will be held in the Gathering Space. Donations can be dropped off before and after each Mass up until 1:15 PM on Sunday. Thank you for your help!
Community Saturday “Wine & Cheese” 9/19
Join us after the 5:00 PM Mass for our monthly Community Saturday “Wine & Cheese” in the Parish Center—an evening of good food, good conversation, and good company.
This monthly wine & cheese social is hosted by the community, for the community. Come raise a glass, share some conversation, and enjoy the gift of community.

Volunteers for Community Saturday can sign up to help host by bringing wine or drinks and/or an appetizer. It is also a great opportunity to reach out to your fellow parishioners to help host. Apps can be quick and easy or elaborate as you would like. You can bring wine and appetizers to the Parish Center kitchen before Mass, which has a fridge to keep things cold.
We will supply the cups, small plates, napkins, and wine opener. Please feel free to bring whatever else you may like. We look forward to seeing you and your family!

NEW: Special Needs Mass
Beginning this month on September 20, we invite individuals with disabilities, special needs and their families to join us for a Special Needs Mass every third Sunday of the month at 2:00 PM, September through May.
Offered in partnership with the American Special Children’s Pilgrimage Group (ASCPG), the Mass experience is thoughtfully adapted to meet a variety of needs, creating a welcoming and supportive environment where all can participate fully. A social gathering will follow the Mass, offering an opportunity for fellowship and connection.
CORRECTION NOTE: These Masses may include music and other sensory elements.
Youth Group 9/20
Youth Group is a place to have fun, make friends, and explore faith in real life. All high school students are invited to our first gathering of the school year on Sunday, September 20 from 7:00–9:00 PM in the Youth Room. Bring a friend, share some laughs, and grow in friendship with Jesus—you might just make a few new friends along the way.

Connect With Coffee & Conversation (9/21)
Our first Connect with Coffee & Conversation meeting of the Fall will be on Monday, September 21, 2026. It will be a mass for 55+ at 11:30 AM. Bring your own lunch for a get together after mass and we’ll enjoy conversation with Father Paul.

Tuesday 10/20 at 1:00-2:30 with a speaker.
Tuesday 11/17 will be Mass for 55+ at 11:30. Bring your own lunch and we will enjoy Coffee & Conversation after mass.
Sunday 12/6 at 11:00 in the Parish Center we will see the “lights of Christmas” with Mario Medici.
Sunday 1/10/27 at 11:00 in the Parish Center Bill Wright will teach us armchair aerobics!
Wednesday 2/3/27 at 1:00 we will have a speaker.In March we will have a mass for 55+. Date to be detailed.
Sunday 4/11/27 Bill Wright will be back to tell us all about why walking is the ultimate experience!

Support Group for Parents Grieving the Death of a Child 9/21
Grieving the death of a child is not something that suddenly ends, and not a journey you need to face alone. The Support Group for Parents Grieving the Death of a Child meets on the third Monday of each month from 7:30-9pm in the church rectory. Parents are welcome regardless of how long ago the loss was, or what age the child was. There’s no preregistration and no fee.

St. Peter's Carnival 2026
The Annual St. Peter’s Carnival is back September 24 - 27, 2026!
For 15 years, the St. Peter’s Carnival has been a community tradition made possible by our parish family. It also is our largest parish fundraiser of the year! Every raffle ticket, ride ticket, sponsorship, invitation, and volunteer hour helps strengthen the mission and ministries of St. Peter’s Parish.
Whether you’re joining us at the Carnival or supporting it behind the scenes, there’s a place for you in this tradition that helps support the life and mission of our parish. Thank you for helping us make 15 years of Carnival happen — we hope you’ll be part of it again this year!

Saints in 7 Days with Francis of Assisi (Hallow Prayer Challenge)
As our parish pilgrims prepare to visit Italy (including Assisi) in early October, our whole parish community is invited to journey with them in prayer. Beginning September 27, join Saints in 7 Days with Francis of Assisi on Hallow as we celebrate the Jubilee Year of Saint Francis, proclaimed by Pope Leo XIV.
Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR will lead us through the life of St. Francis—from privileged son and knight to his radical conversion and remarkable discipleship of Jesus. Along the way, we’ll discover what St. Francis can teach us about following Christ today.

Support Group for Singles, Divorced and Widowed 10/1
Tired of being alone? St. Peter's Support Group for Singles, Divorced and Widowed could be the answer!!! This group is devoted to helping people rebuild social lives after a divorce, loss of spouse or loved one, or the isolation of life as a single adult. Its leaders and compassionate members have been through, survived and prospered after similar situations.
This warm and caring group of sincere people have created a community that supplies generous support to its members. First time visitors are offered a private orientation by one of our group leaders. Meetings are held on most 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 7pm in the Parish Center. For more information check out the group’s website.
First Friday Eucharistic Adoration 10/2
St. Peter’s monthly first Friday Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on the first Friday of every month in the chapel following the 9am Mass until 3pm. Come spend time with our Lord in the Eucharist. Stop in for a few minutes, or sign up to devote a larger period of time.

Seasons of Hope Bereavement Support Group - Fall 2026
“Blessed are those who mourn” our Lord assures us “for they will be comforted.”
God is close to us in our suffering, sustaining us through the gift of each other. The support of those who know what you are going through is one of God’s many gifts of love. Seasons of Hope is a 6-week faith-based support group for those grieving the loss of a loved one.
Trained parish facilitators conduct the program. All meetings take place in an intimate, small group, and a confidential setting.
There is no charge, but registration is required as the meeting size is limited.
6 week session runs every Tuesday beginning October 13, 2026 – November 17, 2026
Time:
Mornings 9:30am – 11:00:00am
OR
Evenings 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Children's Choir Practice (First of the 2025-2026 School Year)
Calling all kids! Our Children’s Choir is currently welcoming new and returning members in grades 1–8. No experience needed! Singing in the choir is a joyful way to share your gifts, grow in faith and friendship, and actively participate in and enrich the liturgy at select 10:00 AM Sunday Masses, Christmas, and Easter.
Practices are select Tuesdays, 3:30–4:30 PM in the church, typically twice a month. The first practice of the 2026-2027 school year is Tuesday, September 15, 3:30–4:30 PM in the church.

Respect Life Ministry 9/14
Open to all parishioners, please join Respect Life Ministry in the Parish Center at 7pm. Help strategize and plan activities to educate our parish and community about the realities of abortion in NJ, where it is legal to end a baby’s life up until his/her day of birth. Together, with prayer and action, we can change hearts and minds.
Rosary Society Meeting 9/14
All are invited to join the Rosarians for our meeting and prayer at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center.
NEW: Monthly 6pm Mass
Beginning this school year on September 13, a Sunday evening Mass will be offered once a month on select Sundays. With our Confirmation candidates in attendance, this youth-led Mass will feature contemporary music and a slightly different feel. Everyone is welcome!

Children's Liturgy of the Word Returns!
It’s back! Beginning Sunday, September 13, Children’s Liturgy of the Word will again be offered at most 10:00 AM Masses during the school year.
Just before the first reading, children in grades K–5 will be invited to gather in the Chapel (K-2) or Parish Center (3-5) for Scripture, reflection, and prayer in a kid-friendly celebration of the Liturgy of the Word. They’ll return to the church before the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Led by Youth Ministry members Emma L., Charlie H., and Sophia M., with adult supervision, this special time helps children encounter God’s Word in a way they can understand—and gives parents a chance to listen and reflect more deeply, too. May this time help our children come to know God’s Word and His love for them more deeply.
St. Peter Academy Blood Drive
St. Peter Academy Blood Drive on Sunday, September 13, from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM in the gym. Please consider donating. Any donation will save lives.
Fair Trade Sale (September 12/13)
Equal Exchange goods such as coffee, tea, chocolate and nuts will be available for purchase after all Masses in the Gathering Space.
Buying from fair trade sales supports ethical and sustainable practices in global trade. Fair trade ensures that farmers — often in developing countries — receive fair wages, work in safe conditions, and have access to community development funds. This approach helps combat poverty and promotes environmental sustainability to protect God’s earth.

Help share the life and faith of our church! The Communications Ministry supports our parish website, social media, bulletin, media screens and community presence. Grow in faith, share your creativity, and uniquely experience parish life through photography, parishioner interviews, social media reels, and more.

First Friday Eucharistic Adoration 8/7
St. Peter’s monthly First Friday Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on the first Friday of every month in the chapel following the 9am Mass until 3pm. Come spend time with our Lord in the Eucharist. All are welcome whether you’re there all day or just for a few minutes.
If you are dedicating an hour or more, we invite you to get in touch about assisting our ministry in keeping this holy time available.

Mission Appeal: Chingleput Diocese
The weekend of August 1 & 2, 2026 St. Peter’s will welcome a Missionary priest visitor, Fr. Aro Nathan, who will speak at all Masses about the work of the Church in the Diocese of Chingleput in India. Through our prayers and generosity, we have the opportunity to support communities where the Gospel is being proclaimed and lives are being transformed.
As Catholics, we are called to be generous stewards of the blessings God has entrusted to us. We invite you to give our guest a warm St. Peter's welcome and to prayerfully consider supporting this mission.

Support Group for Parents Grieving the Death of a Child 7/20
Grieving the death of a child is not something that suddenly ends, and not a journey you need to face alone. The Support Group for Parents Grieving the Death of a Child meets on the third Monday of each month from 7:30-9pm in the church rectory. Parents are welcome regardless of how long ago the loss was, or what age the child was. There’s no preregistration and no fee.
