Engaging Spirituality

What is Engaging Spirituality?
Engaging Spirituality is a spiritual deepening process for adults who wish to practice centering prayer and reflective silence within a small community that sustains them and gives them the strength to engage more deeply with the wounds of the world. As they listen for wisdom and experience intimacy in sharing, members begin to pattern their very lives around prayer and outreach. In their prayer and shared reflections they participate in a threefold spiritual journey at the heart of the Catholic tradition: an experience of wonder and gratitude to God; a deep awareness of the depths of suffering in the world; a daily living out of the Beatitudes and a practice of joy. While social issues are engaged deeply, the central focus is on prayer and silence.

What is the time commitment?
The group meets monthly on the third Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Parish Center. Occasionally, an event is sponsored for the parish.  Members work in collaboration with the Advocacy for Peace & Justice Ministry.
