What is Bread for the Homeless?
Bread for the homeless is a group of parishioners who pick up baked good from Sacred Heart Parish in Rochelle Park and transport the products to Sacred Heart Parish in Jersey City for distribution to the homeless.
What is the time commitment?
Pick-ups of the bread are usually done on Friday mornings and delivered on the same day. Volunteers rotate in the schedule. The over-all time commitment is approximately 2 – 2 1/2 hours.
How can I help?
Must be able to drive and should be able to lift bags of bread (several pounds)
