What is Antioch?

Antioch is a weekend retreat experience at St. Peter the Apostle Parish. You can attend if you are in the 9th-12th grade. It is an opportunity for you to strengthen your faith, explore the purpose of your life, and become more aware of Jesus in your community.

Antioch is a community builder. Teens from the parish facilitate the weekend and they work very hard to make this weekend an experience you will never forget. You can expect to meet new friends during a weekend of fun, games, song and prayer!

Where is the retreat held?

During the day, the retreat is held at St. Peter the Apostle Parish, 431 Fifth Avenue, River Edge, New Jersey. Teens will be taken to “Host Homes” in same-sex groups of 4-6 to spend the night. All hosts are well-known members of the parish who have completed the required Protecting God’s Children Certification Program.

What is the cost?

The weekend costs approximately $55 per teen. The fee includes all meals and supplies. Arrangements can be made if you are unable to pay the fee.

When is the weekend?

The Antioch retreat usually takes place in February. It begins on a Friday night at 7:00 p.m. and ends on Sunday at about 5:00 p.m. Teens attending must be present during the entire weekend from start to finish. There are no exceptions.

How do I sign up?

A downloadable registration form and permission slip will be posted on the home page a few weeks before the retreat, and instructions will be included.
