Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick

“And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.”
Matthew 10:1

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick can be given to anyone who is suffering from a serious illness, in danger of death, or preparing for surgery. Once known as Last Rites, the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is no longer for those near death.

Every fall, the parish offers a Healing Mass for anyone who needs physical and spiritual healing. The Anointing takes place during the Mass. This Mass is announced in the bulletin and website.

Please call the rectory to arrange for a visit from a parish priest. If the person is hospitalized, you may use the Online Request Hospital Visit form.
